A little more info
What is ceremonial cacao?
Theobroma Cacao, (Latin for ‘Food of the Gods’), finds its origin in Mesoamerican native cultures. The Mayas, Aztecs and Incas saw cacao beans as very precious and made a drink out of it with chilipepper that the elite used in ceremony and rituals.
Cacao contains many beneficial minerals, vitamins, anti-oxidants and is anti-inflammatory as well. It is really high in magnesium and chromium. It also contains a high amount of calcium, zinc, iron and sulfer. It increases bloodlfow, but lowers the bloodpressure, a bit like a river flowing faster but through a wider riverbed.
Another amazing fact: it makes us happy. Cacao contains neurotransmitters already present in the brain such as:
~ Norepinephrine (joy)
~ Serotonin (wellbeing)
~ Dopamine (motivation, pleasure)
~ Anandamide (bliss, painkiller)
How we use Cacao in ceremony today
In the cacao ceremonies we offer, music is almost always at the heart of the journey. Cacao is not a psychedelic, but it is definitely powerful! It gently softens the edges of your heart and brings a sense of aliveness, gratitude, and clarity.

The ceremonial cacao that we use in our ceremonies comes from Nicaragua and is ethically sourced. To protect all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are naturally in cacao, it is NOT heat-treated and processed like cocoa or chocolate, and nutritional benefits aren’t reduced.
